We had a wonderful time at Kindy today.  We played with old and new friends and enjoyed all of our favourite Kindy activities.

Morning Routine

Morning Routine - Tikanga Maori

Every day we are starting our day like this:

We greet each other.

"Tena koe"

Next we say our Karakia.

"E te Ariki nui
Manaakitia matou
Me o matou
Mahi o te ra
Amine"

Then we sing a waiata.  

Then we say our mihimihi.
 "Ko ____________ toku papa.
  Ko ____________ toku mama.
  Ko ____________ te mataamua.
  Ko____________ te potiki.
  Ko ____________ toku ingoa whanau.
  Ko __________ ahau."

Lastly we sing another waiata. 

We are learning some new songs.
